Josh Osich Selected By Angels In MLB First-Year Player Draft

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State left-handed pitcher Josh Osich has been selected by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the seventh round (234th overall) of the 2010 Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft on Tuesday.

Osich's is Oregon State's fourth selection, behind fifth-rounder Tyler Waldron (Pittsburgh), sixth-rounder Greg Peavey (New York Mets) and seventh-rounder Kraig Sitton (Colorado).

The selection is the second of Boise native Osich's career.

Osich did not pitch in 2010, and carries a 0-2 record and 4.73 ERA in 29 appearances, five starts, in his career.
