Three Huskies Selected In Major League Draft

Snow, a junior right-handed pitcher from Seattle's Lakeside School, was chosen by the Seattle Mariners in the 36th round. He made 27 appearances, including nine starts, for the Huskies in 2010, striking out 60 batters in 64 and one-third innings. In 2007, Snow was drafted by the Mariners in the 44th round out of high school.
Rankin, a junior catcher from Lake Forest Park and Shorecrest High, spent time as the Huskies starting catcher and in the outfield in 2010. Rankin was drafted by the Blue Jays in the 38th round. He led the UW with 16 doubles, 10 home runs and 40 runs batted in and was the only member of the team to start all 56 games.
Scott, a junior first baseman from Auburn, went to the Twins in the 48th round. Minnesota also drafted him out of high school in 2007. In three seasons as Washington's starting first baseman, he's totaled 25 career home runs.
