Oregon's Wheating Leads 1-2-3 1,500 Finish

Acosta and Matthew Centrowitz gave the Hayward Field faithful one final lasting magical moment in the men's 1,500 meters, while the women's 4x400 meter relay team won a national title for the ages, leading the Duck women to their second straight team runner-up finish Saturday on the final day of the 2010 NCAA Track & Field Championships. USC Men Place 5th At NCAA Track & Field Championships
. - Oscar Spurlock finished fourth in the men's 110m HH and the 4x400m relay team fifth to lead the USC men's team to a fifth place finish today (June 12) at the 2010 NCAA Track & Field Championships hosted by Oregon at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. before 12,812 fans. The four-day attendance total of 45,847 set a new NCAA Championship record. The finish by the men's team was its best since 2007 when they also finished fifth and was USC's sixth consecutive top 10 finish. The USC women did not score a point for the first time since the 1981 season. [Read more]

UW's Follett, Lawrence Earn All-America Honors As NCAA Track Wraps

ASU's Whiting Claims Shot Put National Title to Lead Men to 4th Place Finish
EUGENE, Ore. – The 2010 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships came to a close on Saturday at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., with the Arizona State University men’s program celebrating one of its more successful seasons as the team finished fourth overall in the national standings and saw Ryan Whiting capture his second national title of the week, this time the shot put, to lead the Sun Devils in their final competition of the season. Whiting, who won the discus on Wednesday, was one of three Sun Devils to place in the Top 7 of the shot put and propel the team to its best outdoor team finish since the 1981 season. [Read more]
