BERKELEY - The California volleyball program will host four youth skills and position camps in the summer of 2010 with enrollment open to the general public. Head coach Rich Feller and the Golden Bears sponsor these outstanding camps where attendees are introduced to techniques and methods used by the Cal team. Instruction will come from some of the top volleyball talent in the country at the Haas Pavilion and Rec Sports Field House facilities beginning with the 8-14 Skills Camp on Monday, July 5.

Registration is open via the web at - or through a mail order form. Please contact or the Cal Athletic Camps hotline at (800) GO-BEARS (800-462-3277) with any questions or call the volleyball office at (510) 642-9208. Cash and checks are accepted by mail only and credit card payment (Visa, MasterCard, and Discover) are accepted online only.

The volleyball camps set two goals for its campers: the first is that every player is taught the necessary skills to become a better volleyball player and the second is that every player enjoys their experience. The program makes sure that every player leaves with an understanding of how to improve their own skills once camp is completed. Every participant will also receive a special Molten volleyball to take home to continue to practice.

Cal's next three camps are open to boys and girls ages 13-18. The Advanced Skills Camp that runs from Monday-Wednesday (July 12-14) has an overnight option available to female registrants for $555. The day-camp only option is available for $395. The Advanced Skills Camp will run once more as a day camp only from Monday-Thursday (July 19-22). Cal's Advanced Position Camp runs from Thursday-Saturday (July 15-17) and is also available as an overnight camp for girls. The same costs apply with meals provided on some overnight packages. An optional in-between-night stay for campers who register for both the skills and position camps is available.
