Smith Reaches Two More Finals

SANTA CLARA, Calif.-- Liz Smith reached the final of two more swims on Saturday, finishing fourth in the 100-meter breaststroke and fifth in the 400 individual medley at the Santa Clara International Invite on Saturday.
Smith, who was third on the 200 breast on Friday, was fourth in the shorter breaststroke a day later with a time of 1:10.75, just missing a medal by 15 hundreths of a second, behind third place finisher Katlin Freeman (1:10.60). Kasey Carlson won the event with the time of 1:09.13. In the 400 IM, Smith finished fifth with a time of 4:45.68, as Cal's Caitlin Leverenz won the event (4:39.12).
Dwelley posted a time of 2:01.83 in the A Final of the 200 free, after Sam Woodward and Andi Murez were sixth and seventh in the B Final of the event. Webb posted a time of 1:03.06, while freshman Natalie Durant was fifth in the C Final.
The meet, a prelude to the national championships in August in Irvine, runs through Sunday at the Santa Clara Swim Club.
