Richmond 11th After Two Rounds of Washington Women's Amateur

SEQUIM, Wash. -- Husky junior Darcie Richmond and incoming freshman Kelli Bowers completed the second round of the Washington Women's Amateur Championship and each are in the top 15 of the standings.

Richmond is tied for 11th at 12-over par 156, while Bowers is +19 and tied for 14th. Lauren Sewell leads the field at 1-under par 143 overall.

The third and final round from The Cedars at Dungeness will start at 10:40 a.m. for Bowers and 11:10 a.m. for Richmond on Thursday.

Tallman, Choi Advance To Round of Eight at WWGA National Amateur Championship
Brittany Tallman and A Ram Choi each won in the Round of 16 of match play in the at the Women's Western Golf Association Amateur Championships in Rochester, Minn. on Wednesday.

The Husky duo failed to qualify for the Championship flight (top 64) at Rochester Golf and Country Club, but nonetheless played well in the First Flight. Choi, an incoming freshman, was especially impressive beating Alanna Gerber 7 and 6. Tallman won 2 up over DeAnne Stelanik.
