Season Opener to be Televised on Comcast Bay Area

STANFORD, Calif.-- Stanford's season opener with Sacramento State at Stanford Stadium has been picked up by Comcast Sports Bay Area (DirectTV 696, Dish 369/419) and will kickoff at 3:30 p.m on September 4.

The Cardinal, coming off its first bowl game since 2001 and an 8-5 record, will host six games on campus this year continuing with Wake Forest (September 18), USC (October 9), the homecoming game with Washington State (October 23), Arizona (November 6) and Oregon State (November 27).

The game with the Hornets will be the seventh game so far picked up by television in 2010. That list includes: at UCLA (ESPN), Wake Forest (ESPN2), at Notre Dame (NBC), at Oregon (ESPN), USC (ABC), and at California (FSN). Twelve of the Cardinal's 13 games last season were on television.

Led by redshirt sophomore quarterback Andrew Luck and preseason All-Americans Chris Owusu and Chase Beeler, the Cardinal began practice August 9.
