Velasquez, Motomochi Earn Pac-10 All-Academic Honors

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Oregon State senior Diego Velasquez and sophomore Jonnie Motomochi are members of the 2010 Pacific-10 Conference Men's Golf All-Academic team announced recently by Commissioner Larry Scott.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average and be either a starter or significant contributor.

Velasquez, who earned honorable mention in 2009, is a first team selection this season following an All-American season on the course. Motomochi Motomochi earned his first career academic award as a second team member. Both OSU golfers are studying New Media Communications.
