Lee Ties For Seventh At Northeast Amateur

In Rumford, R.I., just graduated UW senior Richard Lee tied for seventh at the Northeast Amateur Invitational Golf Tournament, while one state west in Connecticut, former UW All-American Alex Prugh is tied for 48th after three rounds of the PGA Travelers Championship.

Lee was even overall (67-70-70-69-276) for the four-round tournament at the par-69 Wannamoissett Country Club where 81 competitors played in the 49th version of the Northeast Am. He ended up six shots behind winner Joseph Bramlett, who won by two strokes.

At TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn., Prugh shot an even par 70 on Saturday and is 4-under par 206 overall. Pruch is 12 strokes behind leader Justin Rose, who is -16 and holds a three stroke lead.

Prugh will tee off at 10:00 a.m. ET on Sunday for the final round.
