This Week in Pac-10 Women's Soccer

Eight of the 10 Pac-10 women's soccer teams kick off the season this weekend with a full schedule of games slated for Friday and Sunday. Conference-favorite Stanford heads to the East Coast to Boston to play a pair of Beantown teams. Also hitting the road to open the 2010 campaign are Arizona State, Oregon State and Washington.

Meanwhile, Washington State, California, Oregon and USC stay at home to host quality opponents.

Five Pac-10 squads open the new season ranked in the NSCAA Preseason poll, with the Cardinal leading the way earning a No. 2 rating. UCLA, who opens its season on Friday, Aug. 27 is ranked third, followed by the No. 14 Golden Bears. The Trojans and Cougars are ranked 19 and 21, respectively.
