BERKELEY - The No. 18/25 California women's soccer team and No. 8/10 Santa Clara added more fuel to their already heated Bay Area rivalry with a 0-0 double-overtime draw on Friday afternoon at Edwards Stadium. The Golden Bears (1-0-2) out shot the Broncos (2-0-1), 18-5, in front of a season-high 407 fans.

FORT WORTH, TEXAS -- The USC women's soccer team snagged its first win of the year off the foot of Ashli Sandoval on Friday evening in Fort Worth, Texas, as the redshirt junior appeared in her first game after almost a year on the sidelines due to injury. Sandoval's strike in the 40th minute would stand as the game-winner for a 1-0 USC victory over host TCU. The important road win marks USC's first victory of the year, improving the Women of Troy to 1-1 in the early goings of their 2010 campaign. TCU moves to 1-2 with tonight's USC win.

Cat Highmark led the squad with a double-double of 42 assists and 10 digs on the night, but was unable to help stave off WMU who took a 25-17, 17-25, 25-21, 25-20 win to open the season 1-0 as ASU falls to 0-1. The Sun Devils return to action tomorrow against hosts Dayton.
