BERKELEY - California volleyball junior outside hitter Tarah Murrey led the No. 10 Golden Bears (6-0) to their 18th straight set win with 16 kills (1e, 25att, .600) against Seton Hall (3-6) in the 2010 Hilton Garden Inn Classic at Haas Pavilion on Saturday, Sept. 11. Cal was incredibly efficient on the attack as it pummeled the Pirates in three sets (25-14, 25-15, 25-16) for a .436 hitting percentage (47k, 13e, 78att).

BERKELEY - The No. 10-ranked California volleyball team (7-0) won the 2010 Hilton Garden Inn Classic as the Golden Bears defeated Fresno State (3-4) in three sets (25-12, 25-22, 25-18) at Haas Pavilion on Saturday, Sept. 11. Junior outside hitter Tarah Murrey led Cal to its 21st consecutive set victory as she logged her third double-double match of the season with 17 kills (5e, 30att, .400) and 10 digs.

Stanford Makes History With Streak-Snapping Victory Over Penn State
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The second-ranked Stanford women's volleyball team became a part of history Saturday night as it snapped No. 1 Penn State's 109 match winning streak with a 28-26, 25-12, 25-18 win in the championship match of the Nike Big Four Volleyball Classic at the O'Connell Center in Gainesville, Fla. The Cardinal remain perfect on the year with a 7-0 record, while the Nittany Lions lost for the first time since a five-set loss to Stanford in 2007, and drop to 7-1 on the season.

ATHENS, Ga. - The ninth-ranked Husky volleyball team sewed up the title at the Bulldog Invitational this afternoon, sweeping Florida Gulf Coast for its third win in two days. The Huskies improved to 8-0 for the year and have yet to lose a set, sweeping Georgia Tech earlier in the day, and then coming back to defeat the Eagles 25-13, 25-14, 25-14.
Cougs Drop 3-1 Match to Cal Poly
