This Week in Pac-10 Women's Volleyball

Weekly Release (pdf)

STANFORD is the No. 1 team in the nation after defeating the former No. 1 team, Penn State, snapping the Nittany Lions' 109-match winning streak. It is the first time since the final 2005 AVCA Coaches Poll that the top team in the nation has come out of the Pac-10 ... Teams look forward to one more weekend of tournament play before Conference action begins. Half the league enters the final tune-up weekend undefeated, and two other have posted seven wins ... In addition to Stanford, five other Pac-10 teams are ranked in this week's AVCA poll: No. 7 USC, No. 9 WASHINGTON, No. 10 CALIFORNIA, No. 13 UCLA and No. 16 OREGON.
