Paul's Golden Goal Moves No. 10 Cal Past OSU, 2-1
BERKELEY - Davis Paul scored his second straight game-winning golden goal to give No. 12 California a 2-1 double overtime victory over Oregon State on a cloudy Friday afternoon at Edwards Stadium. The senior forward, set up by sophomore defender Steve Birnbaum, chipped in his team-high seventh goal of the year at the 104:28 mark. After playing in their ninth overtime game and fourth straight overtime game of the season, the Golden Bears improved their record to 10-2-3 (6-1-1 in the Pac-10). Oregon State fell to 6-7-0 (1-5-0 Pac-10).
Huskies Complete Season Sweep Over Stanford
Palo Alto, Calif. - After a week and a half off, the UW men's soccer team picked up where it left off by winning its second-straight Pac-10 game with a 1-0 shutout over Stanford on the road on Friday night.
No. 3 Golden Bears Break Beaver Dam in Three
CORVALLIS, Ore. - The No. 3-ranked California volleyball team (19-1, 9-1 Pac-10) earned a three-set victory (28-26, 25-22, 25-19) over Oregon State (8-16, 1-9 Pac-10) at Gill Coliseum on Friday, Oct. 29. The Golden Bears were led by sophomore opposite hitter Correy Johnson, who had 10 kills (2e, 20att, .400) to go with four blocks and a service ace. Junior outside hitter Tarah Murrey added 14 kills (7e, 45att, .156) and three blocks of her own as Cal moved one victory closer to a fifth-consecutive 20-win season.
No. 4 Stanford Downs No. 18 Oregon
EUGENE, Ore. - The fourth-ranked Stanford women's volleyball team swept No. 18 Oregon, 3-0, Friday at McArthur Court in Eugene, Ore., to open the second half of Pac-10 play. Set scores were 25-17, 25-16, 25-22 as the Cardinal improved to 17-2 overall and 8-2 in the Pac-10, while the Ducks drop to 16-6 on the year and 4-6 in the conference.

LOS ANGELES - Junior All-American Alex Jupiter (Paris, France/Redondo Union HS) had 12 kills Friday as the No. 8 USC Women of Troy swept the Washington State Cougars, 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-15), in Pac-10 Conference action.

11th-Ranked Bruins Come Back to Take Down #7 Washington
LOS ANGELES - Sophomore Rachael Kidder had a match-high 24 kills, senior Dicey McGraw added 17 kills and junior Lainey Gera posted 20 digs, as the 11th-ranked Bruins rallied from 2-1 down to knock off seventh-ranked Washington in five sets on Friday at Pauley Pavilion. Set scores were 23-25, 30-28, 13-25, 25-22, 15-12.
Trojans Fight Back For 3-2 Win Over WSU
LOS ANGELES, CALIF. -- There's been something about Washington State has given the USC women's soccer team trouble in recent years, but the Trojans finally turned the tide on the Cougars today with a 3-2 comeback win at McAlister Field. Three scoreless ties in the previous four years were interrupted only by a 2-1 loss to WSU in 2007 -- the year the Women of Troy went on to capture the NCAA championship. But after two games of scoring silence, USC broke through today with three second-half goals to battle back and ultimately claim a long-awaited victory on senior defender Karter Haug's game-winning blast in the 83rd minute. USC improves to 10-4-3 overall and is now 3-2-1 in Pac-10 play. WSU goes to 6-12, 1-5.
Ducks Win Second Straight, Top Arizona 4-0
EUGENE, Ore. -- Sophomore midfielder Mo Fitzgerald scored a pair of goals in leading the University of Oregon soccer team to a 4-0 home win over Arizona on Friday at Pape' Field in Eugene. The win was the Ducks' second straight, improving to 6-8-3 overall and 2-3-1 in Pac-10 Conference play. The Wildcats dropped to 5-10-2 overall and 1-5 in league action.
Ingalls Gives No. 15 Beavers Historic 1-0 Victory
Corvallis, Ore. - Melinda Ingalls scored the game-winning goal in the first half and the defense did the rest as the No. 15 (NSCAA) Oregon State women's soccer team defeated Arizona State Friday night at Paul Lorenz Field by a final score of 1-0 in front of a season high home crowd of 927.
Huskies Defeat UCLA For First Time Since 2000
LOS ANGELES - On national television (Fox Soccer Channel) Friday night in Los Angeles, the Huskies were more than impressive picking up a 1-0 shutout over UCLA in Pac-10 play. This is just the third win for UW overall against UCLA. The first came in 1995 in Los Angeles, 2-1, and the second was a 1-0 UW victory in Seattle in 2000.
