Stanford, California Play for First Again, in Another Top-5 Showdown
Second-ranked STANFORD and fourth-ranked CALIFORNIA will be at it again on Friday, playing for first place in the Pac-10 standings. The Golden Bears were victorious in the first meeting between the teams at Maples Pavilion. The Cardinal look to return the favor in Berkeley. The game will be televised on a tape-delayed basis on Fox Sports Net. Check local listings ... The race for the Pac-10 title is still tight, with three teams still vying for the Conference crown ... Also this weekend, UCLA and USC head to OREGON and OREGON STATE, while WASHINGTON and WASHINGTON STATE travel to ARIZONA and ARIZONA STATE ... Aside from the Cardinal and Golden Bears appearing in the top five, two more Pac-10 teams are in the top 10 in the AVCA Coaches Poll. USC is No. 6 and UCLA is No. 10. The Huskies are just outside the top 10 at No. 11, followed by the Wildcats at No. 22 and Ducks at No. 23.
