This Week In Pac-10 Women's Soccer

For the third-straight season and fourth all-time, the No. 1 STANFORD Cardinal advance to the NCAA Women's College Cup. The Cardinal arrive in Cary, N.C., fresh off a 5-0 victory over Florida State at home and carry a 21-game winning streak into the semifinal match against Boston College. This will be the second meeting of the year for the Cardinal and the Golden Eagles, as they played to a 1-1 tie in double overtime in the first game of the season on August 20. The Cardinal has outscored its four opponents 13-1 in NCAA play this season and nine different players have contributed in the scoring. SR F Christen Press leads Stanford as she netted her 26th goal of the season in the quarterfinals, tying Kelly O'Hara's single-season scoring record. Since 2000, the Pac-10 has had a team make the College Cup in eight of ten seasons. UCLA is missing from this year's College Cup for the first time in seven years. WASHINGTON almost joined Stanford in the final four, but were defeated by Boston College, 1-0, in overtime in the quarterfinals
