SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Arizona will be relieved next year when it doesn't see Brigham Young or Jimmer Fredette on it's schedule. Fredette had 33 points and a career-high nine rebounds to lead No. 18 BYU to an 87-65 win over Arizona on Saturday.

Sun Devils Scorch Gardner-Webb, 71-48
TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State coasted to a 71-48 victory over the Gardner-Webb Bulldogs (6-7, 1-1) Saturday at Wells Fargo Arena. The Sun Devils had three players in double figures. Ty Abbott led all scorers with 18 points. Trent Lockett added 16 points and 7 rebounds. Freshman Kyle Cain grabbed 11 rebounds while adding 8 points.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Donte Smith scored a career-high 22 points, including 14 in a row in the second half, to give Southern California a 60-52 win over Northern Arizona on Saturday.

TEMPE, Ariz -- Led by Dymond Simon's 14 points, the Arizona State women's basketball team won its third consecutive game on Saturday, defeating Colorado State 72-56.

California Sails By Long Beach State, 82-56
BERKELEY - The California Golden Bear women's basketball team (6-2) sailed to a 82-56 victory over the Long Beach State 49ers (1-10). Sophomore forward DeNesha Stallworth scored a season-high 27 points.

Cougars Fall to Gonzaga, 93-75
SPOKANE, Wash. - Carly Noyes and Ireti Amojo led three Washington State players who scored in double figures with 12 points each in the Cougars' 93-75 loss to the Gonzaga Bulldogs in non-conference women's basketball action before a crowd of 3,908 at the McCarthey Athletic Center, Saturday.
