BERKELEY - The Ducks may have outhit the Bears, 7-8, but the No. 13 California softball team outscored No. 17 Oregon, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon on yet another gorgeously sunny day at Levine-Fricke Field. What started out as a pitcher's duel, turned into a defensive battle once Cal got on the board with a two-run double by Frani Echavarria in the third inning.
Stanford Earns Series Win Against Beavers
STANFORD, Calif. - The No. 11 Stanford softball team defeated Oregon State, 8-1, to win the season series, Saturday at Smith Family Stadium. The Cardinal improves to 29-8 overall and 4-4 in the Pac-10, while the Beavers drop to 18-15 on the season and 1-7 in the conference.
