Pac-10 Has Five Teams in Both Men's and Women's USTFCCCA Rankings

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Five men's and five women's teams from the Pac-10 are ranked in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) rankings, the organization announced Tuesday.

On the men's side, USC continues to lead the Conference with a No. 8 ranking. ARIZONA jumped seven spots to No. 9 and makes its first appearance in the top-10 since the computer rankings began in 2008. OREGON is ranked No. 20, followed by No. 23 STANFORD and No. 25 ARIZONA STATE. The Sun Devils are making their first appearance in the top-25 this season.

The Oregon women continue to be ranked third behind LSU, the new No. 1, and Texas A&M. USC and ARIZONA remain in the top-10 with the Ducks, ranking No. 5 and No. 7, respectively, while Arizona State has joined them in the No. 10 spot. WASHINGTON STATE is the fifth women's team ranked at No. 21.

The 2011 Pac-10 Conference Track and Field Championships will take place May 6-7 (multis) and May 13-14 at Drachman Stadium, in Tucson, Ariz.
