Stanford Knocks Off No. 1 ASU, 6-1

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Stanford bats came alive as the 11th-ranked Cardinal upset No. 1 Arizona State, 6-1, Friday, at Farrington Stadium in Tempe, Ariz. The Cardinal improves to 38-14 overall and 10-10 in the Pac-10, while the Sun Devils fall to 49-6 overall and 16-4 in the conference.

 Cal Bears Down on Arizona, 9-4

TUCSON, Ariz. - Even though the No. 5/6 California softball team had nine runs cross the plate in its Friday evening 9-4 victory over No. 10 Arizona, the adage of "Chicks did the long ball," was not ring true in the desert. Instead, the Golden Bears worked their magic with small ball and solid defense to power past the Wildcats in a key Pac-10 Conference match-up.

12th-Ranked Bruins Rally Twice Against #11 Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. - #12 UCLA came back two separate times on Friday at Howe Field and received a three-run homer from sophomore B.B. Bates and a two-run shot from sophomore Devon Lindvall, as freshman Jessica Hall struck out four in five innings of relief in the Bruins' 7-4 victory against #11 Oregon.

Beavers Win in Comeback Thriller Against No. 14 Washington, 4-3

CORVALLIS - Trailing 3-2 entering the bottom of the sixth inning, the Beavers scored twice to take a 4-3 lead at the end of six innings. Oregon State starting pitcher Tina Andreana closed out the game for her seventh complete game of the year as Oregon State defeated No. 14 Washington by a score of 4-3 Friday afternoon.
