Bremer Named Pac-12 Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — WASHINGTON STATE midfielder Beau Bremer has been named Bank of the West Pac-12 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Sept. 12-19, Commissioner Larry Scott announced Tuesday.
The Scottsdale, Ariz., native scored her first two collegiate goals Sunday in the Cougars' 2-1 overtime win over Idaho. Her third shot on goal tied the match 1-1 at 48:57. Less than five minutes into overtime, Bremer found the net once again to beat the Vandals and help her team advance to 6-2-1.
This is Bremer's first Pac-12 Player of the Week honor and the 10th all-time selection for Washington State. This is WSU's second Player of the Week honor for the 2011 season.
The Cougars hit the road this weekend to face No. 21 Santa Clara on Friday at 7 p.m. PT, and then take on USC in their first Conference match Sunday at 1 p.m. PT.
