Buckland Honored as Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — OREGON STATE forward Chelsea Buckland has been named Bank of the West Pac-12 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Sept. 19-26, Commissioner Larry Scott announced Tuesday.

In OSU's conference opener Friday, the junior scored both goals in the Beavers' 2-0 victory over Colorado. The Vancouver, B.C., native has scored six goals in Oregon State's last three contests and now leads the team in points and goals with 14 and six, respectively.

This is Buckland's first Pac-12 Player of the Week honor and the 10th all-time selection for Oregon State.

The Beavers embark on their first Conference road trip this weekend, facing USC on Friday at 3 p.m. PT and No. 3 UCLA on Sunday at 12 p.m. PT.
