Utah's Dalley Named Player of the Week
WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — UTAH forward Erin Dalley has been named Bank of the West Pac-12 Women's Soccer Player of the Week for Oct. 10-17, Commissioner Larry Scott announced Tuesday.
On Friday, the senior buried the game-winning header in overtime against then-No. 18 Oregon State to give Utah its first win over a top-25 opponent since 2009. It was Dalley's only shot of the game, but it led to the Utes' sixth straight home win and fifth shutout of the season.
The Utah native now has three game-winning goals this year and has scored in three consecutive home matches. She leads the team in points (12), goals (5), game-winning goals (3), shots (30) and shots on goal (15).
This is Dalley's second Pac-12 Player of the Week honor in three weeks and the second all-time selection for Pac-12 newcomer Utah.
The Utes take their last road trip of the regular season this weekend for No. 1 Stanford on Friday at 7 p.m. PT and California on Sunday at 1 p.m. PT.
Also Nominated: Rachel Mercik, CAL; Bri Pugh, ORE; Brittany Kerridge, USC; Gurveen Clair, WSU.
