Women's Basketball Campaign Tips Off

With the Conference expanding for the first time since 1978, a new era is set to begin with the start of the Pac-12 Women's Basketball season. All 12 teams will play at least one game this weekend. Highlighting the opening weekend is No. 5 STANFORD traveling to Texas, a top 25-ranked team. No. 22 UCLA opens its season in the Preseason WNIT. WASHINGTON STATE is headed to the Lady Lion Classic to face No. 12/14 Penn State. CALIFORNIA also travels east to face traditional powerhouse Rutgers. COLORADO and UTAH make their season debuts as members of the Pac-12 at home ... At least three teams were ranked in preseason polls. STANFORD, USC and UCLA each appeared in several rankings.
