UCLA advanced to its first NCAA College Cup since 2006, falling to top-seeded and eventual national champion North Carolina 2-2 (3-1 PKs) in the semifinals. The Bruins got goals from JR MF/F Ryan Hollingshead and SO MF Kelyn Rowe. JR F Chandler Hoffman provided both assists.

Hoffman, a MAC Hermann Trophy semifinalist, had a banner year, leading the Pac-12 in goals (18) and points (42). Both numbers were Conference season records.

Rowe, last year's Pac-10 Freshman of the Year, was named the 2011 Pac-12 Player of the Year. UCLA coach Jorge Salcedo was named Coach of the Year after leading his team to a perfect 10-0-0 record in Conference play. California midfielder Seth Casiple became the first Golden Bear to earn Freshman of the Year. Casiple was named to the College Soccer News All-Freshman second team.

Washington SR F Brent Richards was named the 2011 Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's soccer. Richards earned Capital One Academic All-America first team honors from CoSIDA while Hoffman was named to the second team.

UCLA RS SR GK Brian Rowe and Hoffman earned All-America honors from the NSCAA. Brian Rowe, Kelyn Rowe and Hoffman were named
College Soccer News All-Americans.

Washington finished its first season under head coach Jamie Clark with a 12-4-2 record, the most wins for the program since the 2006 squad went 13-7-1.

San Diego State's third-place finish in the Conference was its best since 2008. The Aztecs (10-6-3) recorded back-to-back 10-win seasons for the first time since 1991-92.

Four UCLA seniors have been invited to the 2012 adidas MLS Player Combine, to be held Jan. 6-10 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Brian Rowe, F/MF Eder Arreola, MF/D Andy Rose and D Shawn Singh are on the initial list of 52 college seniors that was determined by a panel of Division I coaches. Jamie Clark will serve as one of the Combine coaches.
