Fifteen Tennis Teams Nationally Ranked

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. — Fifteen Pac-12 tennis teams—seven men's teams and eight women's teams—are ranked in the first Campbell/Intercollegiate Tennis Association College Tennis Rankings of 2012, as released by the ITA. Nine of the 15 teams appear in their respective top 25 rankings.

Three-time reigning national champion USC takes the men's No. 1 ranking, and is followed by three teams in the top 25: STANFORD (No. 6), UCLA (No. 9) and CALIFORNIA (No. 14). WASHINGTON comes in at No. 26, while ARIZONA and OREGON round out the men's rankings at No. 55 and No. 72, respectively.

2011 NCAA runner-up Stanford leads the Pac-12 women's teams with a No. 2 ranking. Four more teams join the Cardinal in the top 25: UCLA (No. 5), California (No. 8), USC (No. 16) and ARIZONA STATE (No. 19). Washington is ranked 27th, Arizona is ranked 32nd and Utah is ranked at 49th.
