Bears and Huskies Neck-and-Neck. . . Two weeks remain in the Pac-12 regular season for league leaders CALIFORNIA and WASHINGTON. Both teams hit the road this week where California can capture at least a share of the Pac-12 regular season title with a pair of wins and some help from WASHINGTON STATE in the hardwood version of the Apple Cup. However, the Bears will need to accomplish the task at UTAH, and then at COLORADO where the Buffaloes are a perfect 7-0 in league play. . . Colorado, OREGON, ARIZONA and UCLA still have hopes of a league crown, but need some help over the final two weeks.

Washington's Wroten a Finalist. . . WASHINGTON freshman guard Tony Wroten has been named one of five finalists by the USBWA for the Wayman Tisdale Award, which is given to the National Freshman of the Year. Wroten leads the Huskies, averaging 16.5 points per game. He ranks second in the Pac-12 in steals (2.0 spg) and eighth in assists (3.5 apg).
