Seven Teams Participate In Postseason

Seven Pac-12 teams are headed to the postseason, highlighted by trips to the NCAA Tournament for STANFORD and CALIFORNIA ... The Cardinal are one of four No. 1 seeds in the NCAA Tournament and are looking to make a fifth-straight trip to the NCAA Final Four. The Golden Bears make a return to the "Big Dance" after missing out the last two years ... Five league teams will participate in the WNIT, four of which will be hosting first-round games. The Pac-12 has seen success in recent years in the WNIT, with Cal winning the tournament in 2010 and USC reaching the finals ... COLORADO, OREGON STATE, UTAH and WASHINGTON will host in the first round of the WNIT, while ARIZONA STATE hits the road for its opening-round game ... Ranked No. 2 in the country heading into this weekend's action, Stanford won the Pac-12 Tournament for the sixth-straight year, defeating Cal in the championship game ... WASHINGTON STATE had a Cinderella run, advancing to the semifinal round after winning its first-ever league tournament game in the first round ... Stanford senior Nnemkadi Ogwumike was named the Pac-12 Tournament Most Outstanding Player after being named the Conference's Player of the Year by the coaches for the second time in three years. Younger sister and sophomore Chiney Ogwumike was tabbed the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year, while Cardinal head coach Tara VanDerveer was selected the John R. Wooden Award Coach of the Year. WASHINGTON's Jazmine Davis was the Freshman of the Year, the first Husky in 24 years to win the honor.
