Cordes, Relays Lead Arizona Men on Day One
Freshman Kevin Cordes (Naperville, Ill.) and the 400 medley and 200 free relay teams led the Arizona Men's Swimming team on the first day of the 2012 NCAA Men's Swimming NCAA Championships on Thursday.
Bradshaw, Blaha Dominate 1-Meter Finals at NCAA Championships
On the first night of competition, Arizona State dominated the finals of the men's 1-meter springboard with both Cameron Bradshaw and Constantin Blaha making the finals in the event, Thursday, at the 2012 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in Federal Way, Wash. Arizona State was the only school to have two divers compete in the finals.

he 2012 Cal men's swim team, looking to defend its 2011 NCAA team title, put on an impressive performance Thursday (March 22) and leads after the first day of the 2012 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships held at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Wash. The Golden Bears' 200 free relay team - freshman Tyler Messerschmidt, sophomore Shayne Fleming, freshman Fabio Gimondi and freshman Seth Stubblefield - won the meet's opening event with a time of 1:16.58.
Three Top-Three Finishes for Cardinal at NCAA's Day One
Kristian Ipsen finished second in the 1-Meter, Chad La Tourette (500 free) and David Nolan (200 IM) were both third at the NCAA Championships as Stanford is in second place behind Cal after the first of three days.
Morozov, Quintero Take Seconds At NCAAs
Sophomore Vladimir Morozov (50y free) and freshman Cristian Quintero (500y free) finished 0.07 and 0.12 out of first, respectively, as each posted second-place finishes to highlight No. 5 USC's first night of finals at the 2012 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday (March 22) at the Weyerhauser Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Wash.
