UCLA ranked number two in preseason poll

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - UCLA garnered a No. 2 ranking in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) preseason coaches poll, the NSCAA announced Tuesday. The Bruins are the lone Pac-12 team in the national top-25. CALIFORNIA was listed among those receiving votes.

UCLA returns five starters from last year's NCAA semifinal and Pac-12 championship team. The Bruins return All-Pac-12 honorees senior midfielder Ryan Hollingshead and senior defender Matt Weit. Hollingshead is the top returning scorer with 13 points last year.

UCLA begins its season live on Pac-12 Networks on August 24 at home versus No. 6 New Mexico . The Bruins will be featured on Pac-12 Networks 12 times this season with 28 total live men's soccer contests shown on the networks.
