A Look Ahead
Two new members of the Associated Press top 25 will make their season-debuts as ranked teams Saturday. That highlights the week of programming on the Pac-12 Networks.
UCLA, which moved into the rankings at No. 22 this week following its upset of Nebraska, hosts Houston at 7:30 p.m. Meanwhile, Arizona, which entered the top 25 at No. 24 after beating Oklahoma State last weekend, welcomes South Carolina State to Tucson, also for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff.
A third game kicks off Saturday's menu of football on the networks at Noon when No. 4 Oregon hosts Tennessee Tech.
In other sports:
- Women's soccer fans should have their appetites satisfied this weekend with six games on the networks. The action gets underway with three games Friday at 4 p.m.: Hawaii at Washington State, Gonzaga at Oregon State and Penn at Cal. Then at 6 p.m., Seattle University visits Oregon. Two more games will be on the networks Sunday at Noon: Air Force visits Colorado while Oregon State hosts Seattle.
- The onlsaught of women's volleyball telecasts really gets going in earnest next week when Pac-12 Conference play begins, but a marquee nonconference matchup graces the Pac-12 Networks airwaves Wednesday night when No. 2 UCLA hosts No. 18 Pepperdine. The Bruins are the defending NCAA champions while the Waves are a perennial West Coast power.
