The clock is counting down to the second Pac-12 Football Championship Game, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 30 at 5 p.m. Pacific on Fox. Once again, the team with the best conference record will host the game, pitting the North and South Division winners against each other for the Pac-12 automatic berth into the Rose Bowl.

Here’s the rundown on who can make it, where the game might end up and a recap of the bowl possibilities for conference teams.

North contenders:

Oregon (10-0, 7-0 Pac-12)

For the Ducks it’s simple: Beat Stanford and the Pac-12 Championship Game returns to Eugene. They also could win the division even if they lose to the Cardinal, but would need to beat Oregon State in the Civil War and then have UCLA beat Stanford in the final week of the season.

Stanford (8-2, 6-1)

This week’s matchup with Oregon is key for Stanford’s hopes of getting to and hosting the championship game. If the Cardinal lose on Saturday, their division hopes are over. Beat the Ducks and capture a win versus UCLA to finish the season, and the title game is headed to Palo Alto. Here's Pac-12 Networks' preview of Saturday's contest.

South contenders:

UCLA (8-2, 5-2)

Saturday’s game at the Rose Bowl against crosstown rival USC is for the division, plain and simple.  A scenario does exist where UCLA could host the Pac-12 Championship Game. If the Bruins win their final two Pac-12 games, and there’s a two-team or three-team tie in the North Division involving Oregon, Oregon State and Stanford, then the Rose Bowl would be the site of this year’s Pac-12 Championship Game that would feature a UCLA-Stanford matchup.

USC (7-3, 5-3)

See above, Saturday’s game against UCLA is for the division. Win and the Trojans will travel to whoever wins the North Division. Here's Pac-12 Networks' preview of the rivalry matchup.
