OMAHA, Neb. - The University of Oregon volleyball team (29-4) extended its greatest season in school history with a 3-1 NCAA Regional Final win over host Nebraska (26-7) Friday and earned its first-ever Final Four invitation in school history.
Longhorns Lasso Trojans for NCAA Semifinal Berth
AUSTIN, Texas - The USC women's volleyball team (30-6) had its run in the 2012 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Championship cut short as third-seeded Texas (27-4) completed a 3-0 win (25-19, 25-22, 25-14) in the Austin Regional title match at Gregory Gym on Saturday, Dec. 8. The Longhorns earned their fourth NCAA semifinal berth in the last five years and will meet the winner of the Berkeley Regional on Thursday, Dec. 13.
Stanford Sweeps Iowa State, Faces Michigan in Regional Final
BERKELEY, Calif. - The second-ranked Stanford women's volleyball team defeated Iowa State (25-16, 25-19, 25-17), Friday, in the Berkeley Regional Semifinals of the NCAA Tournament at Haas Pavilion in Berkeley, Calif. The Cardinal (30-3) victory marks head coach John Dunning's seventh 30-plus win season during his 12 year on The Farm. The Cyclones finish the season with a 22-8 overall record.
