OSU's Stambaugh is the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week

Oregon State senior Makayla Stambaugh is the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week after leading the then-No. 13 Beavers to a defeat of then-No. 4 UCLA on Saturday, bringing the Bruins their first loss of the season. She scored a career-high 39.550 in the all-around to claim first place, becoming the first gymnast this season to beat UCLA’s Vanessa Zamarripa in head-to-head competition. Stambaugh also tied career highs on vault (9.875) and floor (9.950), placing third and first, respectively.

She sits down with Pac-12 Digital's Bryan Fischer to discuss the victory over UCLA and how she'll maintain her focus throughout the season.
