Arizona's Gidali named Pac-12 women's golfer of the month

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- Manon Gidali of Arizona has been named the Pac-12 Women's Golfer of the Month for March, the Pac-12 announced today.
A sophomore from Paris, France, Gidali recorded her third career win and first victory of the season on Wednesday, March 13 at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational. Gidali's efforts paced the No. 7 Wildcats to their first win of the spring season and the program's third overall win in 2012-13.
With scores of 71, 70 and 72, Gidali, ranked No. 36 by golfweek.com, won the individual title. With all rounds at or below par and a score of 213 (-3), she put together her best tournament of the season and second-best three rounds of her career.
Arizona led the field by an impressive 25 strokes to win the team title. With rounds of 289, 293 and 293, combining for a score of 875 (+11), the Wildcats posted their lowest three-round tournament showing this season.
This is Arizona's first golfer of the month recipient this season and Gidali's second career golfer of the month award.
