NCAA softball: Washington rallies to win super regionals opener

The Pac-12 currently has three teams in the NCAA softball super regionals and No. 11 Washington kicked off the action Thursday, defeating No. 6 Missouri in extra innings in game one of a best-of-three series in Columbia, Mo.

The Huskies were the under dogs heading into the super regionals, but they managed to pull the upset in the opening game against the Tigers. Up until the sixth inning the game was scoreless, but then Mizzou got on the board with an RBI base hit off the bat of Kelsea Roth. Washington then came back and tied the game 1-1, when a single by Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year Shawna Wright led to a run for the Huskies.
