Aug 1, 2013

Incoming Husky freshman Kevin Kwon leads the Canadian Boys Junior Championship by three shots heading into the final round at Timberwolf Golf Club in Sudbury, Ont.

Kwon shot 3-under 69 in Thursday's third round and has a three-day total of 207 (-9). He has led the tournament from start to finish.

Andrew Harrison is second with a score of 210. Only five golfers are under par for the tournament.

Kwon finished runner up in the same tournament last year. He will try to avoid the same fate in Friday's final round.

Meanwhile, on the PGA Tour, former Husky Chris Williams is tied for 12th, while Richard Lee is tied for 27th after the first round of the Reno-Tahoe Open at Montreaux Golf and Country Club. Using the modified Stableford scoring system, Williams has nine points, while Lee has 6.

Williams had six birdies, worth two points apiece, but also had a double bogey for -3 points.

Lee had four birdies (8) and two bogeys (-2) to arrive at his six points.
