STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford was the top women’s college team at the U.S. Open held July 30-Aug. 3 at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif., collecting 228 points during the long-course meters event.

With the Cardinal men (267) taking first in their respective division, the two teams combined for the highest score (495) of any American program.

Felicia Lee was first in the 100 fly (58.94) and touched seventh in the 100 free (56.00). Lee tacked on a sixth-place swim in the 100 back (1:01.94).

Incoming freshman Lia Neal was fourth in the 100 free (55.32) and ninth in the 50 free (25.40).

The 50 free also saw Maddy Schaefer dash to a 25.27 and second-place showing.

Katie Olsen was sixth in the 200 breast (2:31.37) as Andie Taylor took fifth in the 400 IM (4:45.16).

In the 100 breast, Sarah Haase came through in 1:08.82 for 10th.

Stanford was fifth in the 4x200 free relay with an 8:10.33 and third in the 4x100 medley relay (4:08.49).
