Spikers Start Fall Camp

Aug 12, 2013

BOULDER—The 2013 University of Colorado volleyball season has official started as the team participated in its first practices on Monday after reporting for meetings on Sunday night.

“We are as excited as we have ever been to get started,” coach Liz Kritza said. “We have high hopes and great expectations for this season. We are really looking to cement ourselves into the upper echelon in the Pac-12.”

The Buffs will participate in two-a-day practices from now until school starts. They will have practices at the Coors Events Center from now until Friday, August 15. At that point, CU will head south to Colorado Springs to practice at the U.S. Olympic Training Center August 17-22.

“It’s a pretty intense five-day training block where we don’t really take a day off, but we cap it off with a really nice team building activity,” Kritza said.

The Buffs will return to campus on Aug. 23 and on Aug. 24 they will host an intra-squad scrimmage at 3 p.m. on the main court at the Coors Events Center which will be open to the public.
