TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona women’s soccer battled Illinois to a 1-1 double overtime draw in their final match of the Sun Devil Classic Sunday afternoon, in Tempe, Ariz. The Wildcats advance to 3-0-3 on the season.
TEMPE, Ariz. – Devin Marshall scored two goals for the second time in as many games and Chandler Morris recorded her second shutout of the season to lead the Arizona State women’s soccer team to a 4-0 win over Kansas on Sunday.
SAN FRANCISCO — No. 18/19 California used three second-half goals to down UC Davis 4-0 Sunday afternoon at Negoesco Stadium at the University of San Francisco. The Golden Bears improve to 5-0-1 this season, while the Aggies drop to 2-3-0.
DENVER – After falling behind a goal in the 21st minute, the University of Colorado soccer team quickly responded, as Anne Stuller’s hat trick and Olivia Pappalardo’s first collegiate goal gave the Buffs’ a 4-1 victory over the University of Tennessee Martin.
EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Oregon women’s soccer team was defeated 2-1 by UC Irvine on Sunday afternoon at Papé Field. A furious rally in the final 10 minutes from head coach Kat Mertz’s team created an 88th minute goal and additional chances to equalize, but the Anteaters ended up on top in a tough loss for the Ducks.
Corvallis, Ore. – The Oregon State Women’s Soccer Team closes out a tough weekend with a 1-0 loss to Hawai’i.
STANFORD, Calif. – For perhaps the first time this season, the full scope of Stanford women’s soccer was on display Sunday in the Cardinal’s 3-0 victory over No. 16 Maryland at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium.
The No. 2/3 UCLA women's soccer team concluded play at the Duke Nike Classic with a 2-1 victory over 12th-ranked Duke on Sunday. The Bruins (5-1) received goals by Rosie White in the eighth minute and Darian Jenkins in the 78th minute to record their third victory over a Top 20 opponent this season.
FALCON HEIGHTS, MINN. — The No. 17 USC women's soccer team had the cards stacked against it today in a match against LSU at the Minnesota Gold Classic. The Trojans, coming into the game undefeated on the year, were dealt a vicious blow by the referee when a questionable red card put USC down a player after the 27th minute. Even down to 10 players, USC stayed strong, but the Tigers would be gifted a penalty kick -- LSU's only shot on goal in the entire match -- in the 64th minute. LSU converted, and the game ended as a 1-0 Tiger victory. USC goes to 3-1-1 with the loss, while LSU goes to 3-2-1.
SALT LAKE CITY — Utah soccer opened the 2013 home slate with an emphatic 6-2 win over Southern Utah on Sunday afternoon. Five different players scored as the Utes enjoyed their highest scoring output since the 2009 home opener.
PORTLAND, Ore. – The Washington women’s soccer team took down the Central Michigan Flying Chippewas 2-0 on Sunday, in the final round of play at the Nike Portland Invitational. The Huskies move to 2-4-0 on the season.
BOISE, Idaho – Nicole Setterlund’s goal in the seventh minute lifted Washington State to a 1-0 victory over Weber State in nonconference women’s soccer, Sunday.
