Military and Veterans to be Honored Saturday

Sep 25, 2013

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State’s annual Military Day will be this Saturday when the Beavers take on the Colorado Buffaloes at Reser Stadium at noon. Our veterans will be honored and recognized during the game.

U.S. military personnel, including veterans, can purchase up to four reserved seat tickets for the reduced price of $35 each by presenting their military identification card. This special price is available through Friday, Sept. 24 at 5 p.m. or until the game is sold out (no gameday purchases).

The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall that Heals mobile museum will be on display in front of Gill Coliseum. The Wall includes information cases which display photos of service members whose names are found on The Wall, along with letters and memorabilia left at The Wall in Washington, D.C. The Museum also includes a map of Vietnam and a chronological overview of the conflict in Vietnam.

In addition, The Joys of Living Assistance Dogs, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising and training assistance dogs and placing them in positions of service, will present an assistance dog to a veteran during the game.

Season tickets remain available and single game tickets are on as well. For information on the all of OSU’s ticket plans for the 2013 season, please access BeaverTickets.com or call 1-800-GO-BEAVS during business hours.
