Pac-12 football uniform watch: Week 6

Seven Pac-12 teams play Saturday with intriguing storylines on and off the field, including a battle between master Mike Leach of Washington State and protégé Sonny Dykes of Washington State. There's news on the uniform front too; Arizona State will debut an entirely new look for its neutral-site game vs. Notre Dame.

Arizona State

Nike-outfitted ASU is wearing maroon-based helmets engulfed in yellow flames while adidas is outfitting Notre Dame with Shamrock unis, in a classic battle of brands. The flame theme will also pop out from the black uniforms and pants on the compression sleeves.

While hosting anything-goes Oregon, Colorado will go traditional with black jerseys with gold helmets and pants. And hey, if CU receiver Paul Richardson is feeling good about it enough for him to post the outfit on his Instagram, that's a nice bit of confidence to start what should be quite the test.

For the Ducks, it's emerald green helmets with silver wings. Oregon's jerseys are white with metallic green feathering and silver nameplates.

The Bear Raid offense and Cal will face Air Raid general Mike Leach and Washington State at Berkeley, Calif., with blue tops, blue jerseys and gold pants.

Washington State

Washington State is wearing white jerseys and pants with crimson helmets. To put it in perspective with you Star Wars fans, it looks like a stormtrooper accidentally grabbed the helmet of the emperor's royal guard.

The Stanford Cardinal is going all black everything against the Huskies.

In the Pac-12's nightcap, the Washington Huskies and their shiny gold helmets face No. 5 Stanford.
