EUGENE, Ore. -- After a two week hiatus, the UO women’s golf team returns to action this week in search of a third-straight top five finish. Head coach Ria Scott’s team competes Tuesday and Wednesday at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, hosted by Washington at the Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash.

The field consists of 12 teams - seven of which are ranked in the top 50 of the most recent GolfWeek rankings. The tournament opens with two rounds on Tuesday before closing with Wednesday’s final round. Each day will start with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. (PT).

Oregon’s lineup consists of Cassy Isagawa, Cathleen Santoso, Caroline Inglis, Monica Petchakan and Marcella Pranovia.

The Ducks have improved to No. 31 in the current rankings and have posted a 24-5 record in its opening two tournaments. Oregon opened with a fifth place showing at the 15-team Mary Fossum Invitational and followed that up with a runner-up performance at the 16-team UNM Dick McGuire Invitational.

Oregon placed second in New Mexico with the fourth best 54-hole score in program history. The Ducks finished at 1-over par on the tournament (877) with rounds of 299 (+7), 286 (-6) and 292 (E). Oregon’s second round set the program record for low score vs. par, topping the previous record of 5-under at the 2008 UNLV Spring Rebel Invitational.

Isagawa, Santoso and Inglis have led the Oregon charge this season as each retains a scoring average lower than 75 through six rounds.

Isagawa is ranked 15th in the nation and was named GolfWeek Player of the Week following her victory at the Dick McGuire Invitational. She topped the 90-player field with a 12-under three-round score of 207. She leads the team with a 71.67 stroke average. Playing in both tournaments, Inglis has a 73.5 average and Santoso has a 74.16 average and has played three rounds at or below par.

Following play in Washington, Oregon continues its fall season with the Stanford Invitational, Oct. 25-27, in Stanford, Calif.
