No. 3 Arizona XC Women Win at Wisconsin

The University of Arizona Wildcat men’s and No. 3 women’s cross country teams competed on Saturday at the fifth annual Wisconsin adidas Invitational in Madison, Wisc. The meet had a loaded field on the men’s and women’s side. Nevertheless, the women’s team earned a first-place finish overall. The men ran 8,000 meters and the women ran 6,000 meters. The race was held at Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course.

Houlihan Leads Sun Devils To Big Day At Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis.—Junior Shelby Houlihan and the Arizona State women’s cross country team had a standout day for the Sun Devil program, topping six ranked teams as it finished in a superb 14th place with 461 points at Wisconsin’s adidas Invitational at the Zimmer Championship Course.

Santisteban Leads Bears To Title At Pre-Nationals

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Junior Kelsey Santisteban captured her third individual title of the season, guiding the California women’s cross country team to the team title at the Pre-Nationals Invitational Saturday morning at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Ind. The Golden Bear men placed 27th overall in the 52-team men’s race.   

Colorado Men Win Pre-Nats, Women Place 7th

TERRA HAUTE, Ind. – The No. 2 University of Colorado men’s cross country team more than proved their ranking Saturday morning as the Buffs handily defeated No. 4 Oregon and the rest of the field at the 2013 NCAA Pre-National Invitational at the La Vern Gibson Championships Course.

Men Post Strong Runner-Up Finish at Pre-Nationals

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Freshman Edward Cheserek posted his third top-four finish in as many races to lead the fourth-ranked Men of Oregon to a runner-up finish Saturday morning at the Pre-Nationals meet in Terre Haute, Ind. The Duck women followed with a fifth place finish against a strong field of ranked teams. Meanwhile, newcomer Tanguy Pepiot impressed in his Oregon debut by claiming a strong victory in the men’s individual race.

Gomez Sets School Record at Bronco Invite

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Junior Kinsey Gomez shattered the school record on a 6K course, running 20:31.4 to come in sixth place and lead the Oregon State cross country squad to a third-place finish at the Bronco Invitational in Sunnyvale, Calif. on Saturday morning.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Stanford’s Aisling Cuffe placed second in the top women’s race and freshman Sean McGorty was fifth in his collegiate debut to highlight Stanford cross country performances at the high-caliber Indiana State Pre-National Invitational on Saturday at this year’s NCAA championship course.

Cross Country Competes at Wisconsin adidas Invitational

MADISON, Wisc. – The UCLA men’s and women’s cross country teams went up against the best talent in the country, Saturday morning at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational held on the Thomas Zimmer Cross Country Course. Both the Bruins men’s and women’s squad finished 27th in their respective races.

Tong Leads USC To A Fifth-Place Finish At Highlander Invitational

Sophomore Jenna Tong placed third and junior Erica Capellino seventh to lead the Trojans to a fifth place finish at the 5K Highlander Invitational held at the UCR Ag/Ops Course in Riverside, Calif. today (Oct. 19). Tong, Capellino and USC's third finisher Kira Soderstrom all set 5K PRs at the meet.

Ute Cross Country Earns 37th at NCAA Pre Nationals

The Utah cross country finished 37th at the 2013 NCAA Pre Nationals. Junior Rebekah Winterton led the way with a 56th-place finish.

Nelson Outstanding Again In Wisconsin

MADISON, Wisc.  – It wasn’t a third consecutive win, but it was perhaps an even more impressive day for junior Aaron Nelson, as the Walla Walla native cemented himself as a factor on a national level with a fourth-place finish at the Wisconsin adidas Invitational today. Nelson’s sensational day led the Husky men’s cross country squad to a 15th-place finish, while the fourth-ranked women’s team was ninth behind a top-25 effort from Katie Flood.

Cougars Dominate at Inland Empire Classic XC Meet

LEWISTON, Idaho – The Washington State men’s cross country team was the overall Division I winner and the women’s team finished second overall in Division I at the Inland Empire Classic at the Lewis-Clark State College Cross Country Course in Lewiston, Idaho.
