What are you looking forward to most about being a member of the team?

The comradery of this team is amazing. The way people push and support each other is something I look forward to every day.

Why did you choose UCLA?

The people. Everyone is so excited to be at UCLA and the positivity drives everyone to be their best.

How did your family react to your college decision?

They were so proud and supportive, I would not be where I am without them.

When did you begin competing and why?

I began competing in high school, my mom was the cross country coach at my school so it was easy to get involved.

When did you realize you could compete at the Division 1 level?

During the recruiting process.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Joining the UCLA team.

What has been the biggest adjustment you've had to make as a college athlete?

Managing time, but it is worth every second.

What goals do you have for this season?

That both our men’s and women’s teams make it to nationals and run at the best of our abilities.

Have you decided on or what is your major and why?

Currently I’m undecided, but I’m leaning towards communications to pursue a broadcast journalism career.

What are your plans after college?

Hopefully be involved in sports media

Is there any other athlete, either professional or collegiate, that inspires you?

Tim Tebow, despite numerous obstacles he always keeps his head up.

Aside from track, what is your favorite sport?


Athletes have strict diet regimens, but if there is one food you cannot live without, what is it?
