Bears Get By Oregon State In Five Sets

BERKELEY – With the match on the line, Lillian Schonewise threw a block party. Cal’s sophomore middle blocker had four of her eight blocks in the fifth set, and the Bears’ women’s volleyball team outlasted Oregon State on Sunday afternoon, 25-18, 21-25, 20-25, 25-22, 15-8 at Haas Pavilion.

Spikers Top Sun Devils In Four

BOULDER — The University of Colorado volleyball team remained undefeated in Pac-12 Conference play at home after taking down Arizona State 3-1 (25-22, 17-25, 26-24, 25-23) on Sunday afternoon at the Coors Events Center. 

Utah Volleyball Takes Down No. 25 Arizona, 3-1

SALT LAKE CITY — Junior middle blocker Bailey Bateman registered 11 kills and a season-high nine blocks to help the University of Utah volleyball team to a 3-1 win (27-29, 28-26, 25-20, 25-17) over No. 25 Arizona on Sunday in a Pac-12 Conference match in the Huntsman Center. This marks the first time Utah has won back-to-back matches in a weekend of Pac-12 play.

UW Tops No. 4 Trojans In L.A. First-Place Battle

LOS ANGELES  – Washington headed into the Galen Center to take on the fourth-ranked USC Trojans this evening, and walked back out with one of its best victories in years, stopping USC in four sets to finish the first half of the Pac-12 season in first place. The Huskies got their first win at USC since 2008, two nights after their first win at UCLA since 2009, to improve to 17-1 on the year and 9-1 in Pac-12 play, and dropping the Trojans into second with an 8-2 conference mark.
