Student Sign Contest At Sunday’s Cal-Duke Game

Nov 9, 2013

Cal Students – Get on ESPN and win California Women’s Basketball merchandise by participating in our “ESPN SIGN CONTEST” at Sunday’s game between No. 9 California and No. 2 Duke. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. and will air live on ESPNU.

The sign contest is open to all Cal students with a Cal1 Card. Students are encouraged to bring their signs to Haas Pavilion or they can make signs in the Student Section 30 minutes prior to tip-off. The most clever and creative sign that incorporates ESPN and California Women’s Basketball will win.

Contest Rules:
* Signs must include “ESPN” or “ESPNU” and must have content related to California Women’s Basketball or the game
* No profanity
* Keep it classy (offensive signs are subject to removal)

In addition, Sunday’s game will see the Final Four and Pac-12 Championship banners raised at Haas Pavilion.

All fans are encouraged to arrive early to see the banner unveiling prior to the nationally-televised game between the No. 9/9 Golden Bears and the No. 2/2 Blue Devils. The new banners will recognize last year’s team that went 32-4 and won a share of the first Pac-12 regular season title in program history with a 17-1 conference record before advancing to the NCAA Final Four in New Orleans.

FANS ARE ENCOURAGED TO WEAR GOLD TO THE GAME. Pre-game food trucks will also be available on Spieker Plaza.

Additionally, $1 general admission tickets are still available for Sunday’s matchup.

Single game, season ticket and mini-plan packages are available through the Cal Athletic Ticket Office, online or by calling 1-800-GO-BEARS.
