Clutch Hutch Denies Lions

The Stanford men’s soccer team’s first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2009 nearly ended as quickly as it came. The Cardinal’s first-round matchup with Loyola Marymount on Thursday night came down to penalty kicks after the teams remained tied at 1 goal apiece after two overtimes. Stanford prevailed with a 3-2 penalty kick advantage to advance to the round of 32.
