The week in social media photos: Nov. 25-Dec. 1

There was much to be thankful for during Thanksgiving and rivalry week. We saw fierce battles on the field of play between long-pitted enemies and we ate ourselves into oblivion. Or at least I did. Alas, if you found yourself with family and food and watching all of the sports, you don't need me to tell you it was a good one. But here's a reminder. The week:

Sure, rivalries suggest hatred and bitterness, but the true core of sport is
to bring us together. Look at this great Apple Cup moment.

A great shot here of UCLA strutting its stuff. The Bruins went on to keep the
Victory Bell, defeating USC 35-14.

Love this backboard perspective of a breakaway dunk in OSU's 101-81
victory over Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

And I hope you did have a Happy Thanksgiving.

ASU secured the oldest trophy in college football as well as the
opportunity to host the Pac-12 Championship Game.

To be honest, this Vine falls outside of our week. But as this was Thanksgiving week and
it's full of traditions, I thought dropping this video of one of my favorite traditions in sport
was fitting. Love Ralphie.

This fan will have plenty more to yell about as Oregon's women's volleyball
team is headed to the NCAA tournament.

'Twas the day before Thanksgiving and man-oh-man was it beautiful in Palo Alto.

Coach Krystkowiak and a few others are presented medals and certificates
for their crime-fighting efforts over the summer.

Indeed games were played while Andy Enfield and crew were in the
Bahamas. But when they weren't being played, well it sure looked nice.

It's just November but Nick Johnson and the Arizona Wildcats' basketball
team are already collecting hardware.

It wouldn't be a complete Thanksgiving post without a Turkey Day greeting from Dubs.
