LAS VEGAS—Arizona State wrestling’s Kevin Radford was the lone Sun Devil to compete in the final day of competition at the 2013 Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, and took eighth place in the 174-pound weight class.

This marks the third time this season that Radford has placed at a tournament.

Radford’s first opponent of the day, Matthew Miller from Navy withdrew from the competition before Radford fell to CSU Bakersfield’s Bryce Hammond in a 15-7 decision.

Radford then dropped a 7-3 decision to Virginia’s Austin Gabel for the match to decide between seventh and eighth place.

The Sun Devils finished 23rd overall with 22 team points. Oklahoma picked up 154.5 to lead the 33 teams competing on the weekend.

ASU is back in action at the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tenn., on Jan. 1 and 2, 2014.
